Oddisee 101 Mixtape - Free!

Oddisee recently released this mixtape full of rarities and unreleased tracks. It's a bumpy ride but there are certainly some gems on there, like the M-Phazes produced "A Song For That"

Free Theory Hazit Mixtape

I strongly suggest you to grab this mixtape if you're into soulful backpackmusic. It includes two of my favourite tracks at the moment ("Extra Credit") and ("Just Wanna Go Home") which can be found on the just released "Extra Credit" album. The productions are just beautiful and the lyrics are onpoint.

Go to Groove Attack Distribution's Myspace to download.

Free Bishop Lamont Mixtapes

I don't listen to a lot of westcoast hip hop unless it's Dilated, J5, Hiero or that kind. But Bishop Lamont is a dope rhymesayer with solid productions behind him. He is due to release an album next year on Aftermath. Meanwhile he has put out the "N*gger Noize" mixtape which features Jake One, Diverse, 9th Wonder, Nottz and Scott Storch on production among others. Personal favourites are: "Don't Kill Me", "Translator", "First They Love You", "Klansmen". This mixtape is def. better than a lot of the bullshit-halfdone-10-skits-mixtape out there.

On october 30th he and Black Milk put out another mixtape called "Caltroit". I haven't heard it yet but with Ras Kass, Kardinal Offishall, Busta, Dr. Dre, Phat Kat, Royce and Planet Asia as guest stars it's bound be worth a download.

You can DL both mixtapes for free at
Bishop Lamont's Myspace.

Rappers I know

Check out this site. Rappers I Know is packed with talent and free music provided by the artists themselves. Worth mentioning is The Are (ridiculous talented beatmaker), Kay Of The Foundation, Headkrack, Strange Fruit Project, Oddisee etc. etc.

Go see for yourself - Real-underground-nod-your-head-soulful-type-hip hop at it's finest.

Reaper - Free multitrack recorder/audio editor

Came across this pretty useful tool the other day. Best part is...It's free! (and legal). If you are an upcoming producer, don't have a big budget and don't know much about music production I suggest you take a look at this.
